Bella Davis

Bella Davis

Bella is 17 and is an avid reader… now!  It took a while for her to get hooked on reading, but it all changed at the age of 9, thanks to Enid Blyton, when Bella read the ‘St Clare’s’ series.

Bella is at boarding school in the UK and when not reading spends most of her time dancing – ballet, contemporary and street dancing alike. Her taste in books ranges from everything to anything, but not crime, as she would like to have a good night’s sleep.

She is incredibly creative and loves immersing herself into the imagination of author’s words from Dickens’ ‘Great Expectations‘ to John Green’s ‘The Fault in our Stars‘ as she feels the writer has come out and taken her hand.

Most overused phrase:

‘Mum, do you have this book, or do we have to buy it?’

Favourite book quote:

“The best way to treat obstacles is to use them as stepping-stones. Laugh at them, tread on them, and let them lead you to something better.”

(Enid Blyton, Mr. Galliano’s Circus)

Top 5 books:

The Great Gatsby, by F.Scott Fitzgerald

The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green

The St Clare’s (series), by Enid Blyton

When God Was A Rabbit, by Sarah Winman

The Hunger Games (trilogy), by Suzanne Collins
