Omar is a self-professed Geek, who has been working as a professional comedian for the last two years, and using the daylight hours to teach Standup and Improvisational Comedy to adults and 9-15s. Recently, he has been trying his hand at promoting and participating in regionally traditional yet popularly ignored spoken word storytelling in the Middle East.
With a degree in Artificial Intelligence, Omar is a long-time fan of Science Fiction and Fantasy. His favourite books tend to be anything that’s concept driven and has a nugget of something he’s never considered. When he gets hooked on something he likes though, he does tend to over obsess.
Omar is the Chairman of the first (and thus far only) Roleplaying Community in the Gulf, that he has imaginatively titled “The Gulf Roleplaying Community”, where he gets his fill of interactive storytelling.
When not performing in some fashion, Omar is a computer programmer, has a wife who is a better programmer, and has two cats who are rubbish at computers altogether.
