Kids' book news, reviews and interviews

Dylan is 10 and is slightly too lazy to be a boy genius. He peaked at the age of 3 when he taught himself to read and then changed the settings on the family computer so no one could use it without his permission. Fortunately for his family, he retired, age 4, and has been doing as little as possible ever since.

He loves comics, cartoons and graphic novels and spends most of his time online, playing Minecraft and getting cross when adults ask him if he’s winning.

Most overused word/phrase:

“I’ll do it in a minute.”

Favourite book quote:

“If there’s one thing I learned from Rodrick, it’s to set people’s expectations real low so you end up surprising them by practically doing nothing at all.”

(Jeff Kinney, Diary of a Wimpy Kid)
